Clinical Psychologist
Dr Vicky Simkin
Providing effective and evidence-based therapies across the UK
Dr Vicky Simkin is a Clinical Psychologist, meaning she has trained to a doctoral level in many types of therapy. She can tailor her approach by blending together elements of different therapies, depending on what you need.
This allows her to be flexible, making the therapy fit the you, rather than make you fit the therapy.
How can you help me?
Everyone’s story and reason for seeking therapy is individual. Therapy, therefore, should be tailored to your unique needs, rather than a “one size fits all” approach. As a Clinical Psychologist, Dr Simkin is trained and proficient in many types of therapy. This means she can draw on different types of therapy to create a personalised plan tailored to you, rather than follow a rigid structure.
People seek therapy with me for many different reasons. We would collaboratively figure out what you want from therapy, and what will help you.
- You might be struggling with anxiety or OCD, and are grappling with distressing thoughts on a daily basis
- You might be feeling depressed, and daily tasks have become a huge effort
- You may have been through difficult experiences in your early life, that still impact you today.
- You might be facing a difficult life transition, like a relationship breakdown, loss, or having a baby
- You might not be feeling like the best version of yourself, and want a space to better understand yourself
All of these may be having a negative impact on your relationships, career, self-esteem and quality of life. Whatever brings you to therapy, the ultimate aim for Dr Simkin is to facilitate lasting change that improves your quality of life.
